At the Best New Zealand Design Awards, Rinnai New Zealand took home two awards. A silver in the Best Graphic Design – Visual Communication category and a bronze in the Best Graphic Design – Packaging category. The country’s Best Design Awards were launched in 1988 as a program to recognize excellent design. Winning products are selected from a variety of categories each year.

1. Rinnai Neo Gas Fireplace wins silver in Best Effect Design, Visual Communication category

In the Best Effect Design category, which acknowledges effective visual design in advertising, the Rinnai Neo Gas Fireplace sold by Rinnai New Zealand captured silver. The Best Effect Award measures the effectiveness of the creative design and the impact on organizational performance.

2. Packaging for Rinnai Evolve 950 Gas Fireplace wins a bronze

The Rinnai Evolve 950 Gas Fireplace took a bronze award in the packaging design category. The Rinnai carton features an illustration on the inside that can be used to assemble a children’s castle after the product has been removed. This eco-friendly initiative, which utilizes packaging materials typically discarded after the box is opened, has been a major hit, substantiated by requests for just the cardboard because it is such a unique and family friendly way to repurpose the boxes.
